Blessed Charles The Good,11th Century fought against improper food practices

Interesting article on an 11th Century Saint. He fought against black marketeers who horded food and were waiting to sell it at astronomical prices to the people. This encouraged their undying wrath and one day in 1127 as Charles was praying in the Church of St. Donatian they set upon him and killed him.Blessed Charles the Good feast day is March 2nd.

I was particularly attracted to this article because the problem of unethical food practices seems so reminiscent of what is going on today. Mabey he should be the patron saint of those fighting for more ethical food practices in these days. And also of those fighting so hard to keep food on the tables of all peoples.
